The Judgment (Bema) Seat of the Lord Jesus Christ
Believers’ Day of Rewards

ABSTRACT

Immediately following the so-called Rapture of the Church (New Testament believers in Christ) a climactic event referred to as the BEMA (judgment) seat of Christ will take place. At this judgment, these believers will give an account of their stewardship of time, treasure and talents. It must be made clear that this is not a time of condemnation but one of commendation. In I Corinthians 4:1-5 the Apostle Paul provides the longest passages on the subject of the judgment seat. Here he concludes with the encouraging words:  “… and then shall every man have praise of God”.

The rewards for the Old Testament saints/prophets and the Tribulation (martyred) saints are certainly not to be forgotten. This group is referred directly in Revelation 11:18 at the blowing of the 7th Trumpet Judgment: “… and that thou shouldest give reward unto the servants, the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear Thy Name, small and great”.
